A Kenyan woman in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates was murdered in cold blood by a Kenyan man after she resisted his romantic advances.
Catherine Waithera Njogu who hails from Gitothua in Ruiru was in Dubai for about a year and a half and lost her life after the jilted man stormed into her workplace beating her up and stabbing her. Waithera was pronounced dead on the spot after succumbing to her injuries.
Watson Njiiri of Nanyuki who is said to have stormed into Catherine’s work place and attacked killing her on the spot
She had resisted this man’s advances for a while before the tragic event.
The tragic incident stunned the community in Dubai as well as her family in Ruiru.
Her father Joseph Njogu has asked the Kenyan government as well as the UAE government to assist in apprehending the suspect.
