A Kenyan woman is seeking the community’s help after she was involved in a car accident last Saturday and is now set to lose her hand.
Reena Cheruiyot of Irving, Texas was involved in the accident at the Dallas North Tollway on October 22nd as a friend who was driving the car she was in tried to avoid another vehicle travelling the same direction and the car hit the tollway stone barrier. The car rolled several times and she suffered a serious hand injury.
Ms Cheruiyot has undergone several hand surgeries at the Medical Center of Plano but she has however been informed that her hand (palm) will need to be amputated as the doctors cannot save it.
She is appealing to the community to assist her as she tries to pay her hospital bills as well as to undergo physical therapy.
