Two people suspected to be behind the abduction of a man at Kinoo, Kikuyu area more than a week ago have been arrested.
Jane Wanjiku and Joshua Ngugi are said to have kidnapped Paul Kyande on August 28th and pouring acid on his face, before chopping off his manhood.
Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said Ms Wanjiku who also goes by the name Margaret Njoki was arrested in Kwale County on Friday while his accomplice Joshua Ngugi was arrested in Nairobi.
Ms Wanjiku was reportedly attending a job interview at Tandoori Resort in Diani, Kwale County when she was arrested.
Police are still searching for a third suspect who is still at large even as the two await to be arraigned in court next week.
Police say the suspects drugged the victim at a bar in Kinoo before taking him to Wanjiku's house, where they carried out the gruesome attack. Kyande is currently fighting for his life at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) in Nairobi.
