US Special Agents Join Kenya's War on Corruption

Kenyan and US investigators are collaborating on the creation of a special investigative unit to fight cross-border crimes involving corruption.
This is one of the results of the agreement reached between the US and Kenya during last July’s visit byPresident Barack Obama.
Special US advisors are also assisting the Independent Policing Oversight Authority, the National PoliceService Commission and the National Police Service’sInternal Affairs Unit to end impunity in the policeservice, according to US ambassador Robert Godec.
The Kenyan government has also developed a new ethics training curriculum that will soon be mandatory for all public officials.
