Diamond Platinumz comes to Boston after surviving car accident in California

BOSTON__Wildly popular, headline making Tanzanian Bongo Flava artiste, Diamond Platinumz is scheduled to his debut in Boston with a highly anticipated performance at Wonderland Ball room in Revere Saturday July 14th as part of his current US tour to promote a new album, "A Boy From Tandale".

The highly anticipated visit comes after Diamond survived a serious car accident in Oakland California over the weekend as he was coming from another show in the company of his brother Romy Jons and two other friends. No one was injured in the accident according to a post that Diamond posted on his Instagram account to his fans.

With millions of followers online, Platinumz, whose real name is Nasibu Abdul is expected to thrill fans from various East African countries living in Boston at the event organized by Drip Events led by Alvin Kasule, a Boston based Afro Caribbean events promoter originally from Uganda in conjunction with other promoters including Ajabu Media., Watson Events, Boston Community Services.

The epic musician of the Kula Kwa Macho( For Your Eyes Only) hit song has been a constant fixture in entertainment news all over east African countries with his blended African and hip hop genre coupled with modern dance moves that earned him much respect and a much sought after performer.

Platinumz has also not disappointed the grapevine industry with news after news of many beautiful female socialites jostling for his attention in his love life.

He is one of the only known east African music artistes to have his hits featured once in a while during the Tropical Blends Mix Show that runs every Sunday night from 12am-2am on Boston's top radio station, Jam'n 94.5FM.

"This is a great honor for Drip events to be in a position to host Diamond in Boston. We know he has many fans here and this is the time to come out and meet him live," said Kasule during an interview with Ajabu Africa News.

Kasule added that the tickets to the events are going for $50 each and have been selling off the shelves fast but there is still a few left for those who may not have had a chance to reserve one.

However, according to Kasule who spoke to Diamond on the phone, the musician was in great spirits and was looking forward to the Boston visit.

"I talked to Mr. Diamond and he said he was unhurt in the accident. He even went on to do another show the next day. He is very excited about the Boston meet-up," Kasule told Ajabu Media.

The event will kick off at 9pm to end at 2am at the venue located at1290 Northshore Road, Revere, MA
