Muranga Man happily married to three wives urges husbands to embrace polygamy

Three women in Murang’a town are so happily married to the same man that they have become best friends who stick together through domestic troubles.
Fresha Nyambura, Esther Nyaguthii and Agnes Wambui- married to Charles Macharia for 30 years – are now jointly planning the payment of their dowry.
They organised an animated ceremony for first wife Nyambura last Saturday, that saw them all dance with their husband and explain their unusual set up.
“They respect and listen to me. My authority is never undermined,” Nyambura said.
She said they have a systematic way of spending time with Macharia but did not give details.
Second wife Nyaguthii said; “He advised us when he decided to get other wives. We are satisfied; there is no need to cause problems.”
“Men pretend to be faithful while keeping their other wives a secret, but we are all here together.”
Wambui said they love each other and are good friends.
The three, who live in different houses, broke down their roles ahead of the dowry ceremony to Macharia, who gave them the money needed.
Asked to introduce his family during the event, Macharia began by inquiring about attendants only interested in his polygamy.
He then asked those who attended because of their friendship to raise their hands after which he said; “Let all my wives come here for introduction.”
The businessman then introduced the women in the order in which he married them, followed by his 12 children.
“There is no man here who does not have another wife,” said the tycoon, who expressed pride at doing what he said most men would only do in hiding.
“Notice how smart they are. You have to wake up early and take care of the family. You cannot laze around, you must work hard.”
Macharia said he is satisfied and will now focus on getting more children, and lauded his wives for uniting and living peacefully.
It is best for men to declare their other relationships, he said, adding that all was well in his family, and urging men to marry more than one woman.
Macharia said plans to pay dowry for Nyaguthii and Wambui were in place.

Seven reasons why Nairobi women remain single

If you have spoken with a Nairobi woman long enough, then you have heard her whine that there are no good men left for marriage.
What she doesn’t seem to realize is that it is the marriageable women that are in short supply. Here are reasons why the Nairobi woman remains single:
1. You drink too much
The Nairobi woman seems to have taken talk from men who say that they have respect for a woman who can sit alone in a bar too seriously.
True, being able to buy your own drink may make you appear confident. For a man who is looking for a serious relationship however, a drunk, slurring woman is an utterly unattractive sight. No man wants to be in a relationship with, much less marry, a woman who outdrinks him.
2. Offering sex without commitment
With the feminist liberation movements, women have made a lot of strides in the society. It is this feeling of liberation that has seen many urban women being liberal with their bodies.
It may be very liberating to be able to have no strings attached sex with a man, but it does not do any favors to your love life.
How do you expect the men you date to value you or your body when you do not appear to value it yourself? He will only put a ring on it if he values it.
3. You have no idea what it takes
The Nairobi woman is doing well for herself. She’s had a good education and holds a great job. For these reasons, she feels entitled to a good man and a great relationship.
The point that she is missing is that the qualities that make you a star employee are not the same ones that make a woman a good wife.
Try working on your personality. Your CV will not attract you a husband.
4. You are lazy
Technology has made amazing transformations in our lives. You can order meals, movies or even the cleaning lady all from the comfort of your couch. Everyone relies on these modern day conveniences at one point or the other.
If you are seeking a serious relationship however, you will actually need to get off your ass. To start with, to be able to meet a man, you actually need to get out of the house.
Second, before he can think of a relationship leading to the altar, a man needs to see proof that you can actually run a home. After all has been said and done, the man’s role is provision while the woman’s is nurturing.
You need to be able to do more than boiling an egg. Learn how to make a good, firm sufuria of ugali.
5. You are the hunters
Men also enjoy being hunted. You must have heard this said at least once. There is no problem with being a woman who knows what she wants. The problem with the Nairobi woman is that this is all she does.
She is used to walking up to men in bars, on the streets or even in the office. Because of this, she tends to be too assertive and brash which is unattractive. Deny this they might, but men still enjoy the thrill of the chase. So let them.
6. You are too picky
So you have this long list of the things you want the man of your dreams to have and to do for you. You want him tall, dark and handsome, to drive a particular car, to hold a certain job and to say particular things to you.
The men you meet do not meet the standards so you just sit and whine about it. The truth is that the Mr. Perfect you are waiting for doesn’t exist. It isn’t about dropping your standards altogether but lowering them. Ask yourself, are you perfect?
7. You denounced family over career
A college education is a good thing. It will open many doors for you. It however will not be a good thing if that is all you pay attention to in your twenties when you are young, pretty and marriageable.
You will get those degrees and the corner office and you will be happy for and while and then you won’t.
By the time you realize this, you are too old for marriage. You do not have to choose between the two, you have space for both in your life
8. You blame men for everything
The Nairobi woman is bitter. For everything that goes wrong in her life, she blames the men in her life. They may be to blame for some things but they can’t be to blame for everything.
This attitude is the wrong foundation of any healthy relationship. The minute you take charge and start taking responsibility for your mistakes, you will be on your way to a healthy, fulfilling relationship.

Dr.John Pombe Magufuli’s CV And Anecdotes From Those Who Knows Him
Dr.John Pombe Magufuli-Presidential Candidate (CCM)
Who the heck is Dr. John Pombe Magufuli? I have been asked that question on a number of occasions. The first one came from my Uncle who is not familiar with Tanzanian politics. It was exactly a minute after his name was announced as the official Presidential candidate for CCM. After the contest that included about 34 cadres, our version of GOP (grand old party) had picked a chemist by profession to be the man to beat. The hard fought contest included the man who is now his key challenger, former Prime Minister Edward Lowassa who jumped a palisade and joined opposition. But that’s a horse of another color. We’ll talk about it in Chronicles Of Dodoma after October 25…may be.
The influx of questions didn’t stop. They still come my way whenever I have coffee with my “Friends Of Tanzania” folks. They want to know more about the man who remained standing after the battle that also included Vice President and other Prime Ministers. They want to know about the man who screwed up everyone else’s courage. His nomination, of course, didn’t come without controversy. The fallout from Dodoma was real. To this day, some cadres are still running around like a chicken with its head cut off.
Now, I don’t know Magufuli that well. Like many folks out there, when Magufuli’s name is mentioned the first image that come to mind is roads. He is now painstakingly considered to be one of the “veteran” ministers to ever lead The Ministry Of Public Works and therefore direct in charge with roads and infrastructures in general. I therefore know his work than his persona.
But the infrastructure portfolio didn’t make him famous. If it did, it was for not for splendid reasons. It’s not an easy-going job to be answerable for demolishing houses. As the Minister Of Public Works, he took the blame over and over. Those who had unlawfully developed plots meant for roads stood no chance against him. The roads must be built. Somebody must be hated. It was he. It doesn’t matter whether your house decorations included the wedding cake chandeliers and rococo arches. He is a man who can wear a pink denim suit and care less what you think.
A person who knows him and has worked close to him says he is always restless for fresh horizons. His highs and lows come and go with the weather, expected but unpredictable. A spur of the moment man who is also a stubborn perfectionist. His unpredictability scares others. It’s widely assumed that those who oppose his current run for the top office job (within and outside CCM) in the land are not comfortable with the whole idea. They consider him to be a threat to their self-interests connected with political affiliations. He will cut the tubes that feed them.
If the above notion is true, it could explain why his “likability” as a candidate has not been a smooth ride. CCM machinery is understood to have realized that and that’s why his campaign is no ordinary hymn. Those who disapprove his nomination mention everything they can find to undermine his presidency-readiness. They leave no stone unturned. The way he dresses, the way he speaks to his overall demeanour. He is not presidential, they say. Those on his defense say he is a diamond in the rough. They remind others not to cry over spilled milk. Nothing can be done or undone now.
They also chip in that he built sub-standard roads that are mashed out even before official opening and handover. Well…I hear them loud and clear. But at least he built something. Aren’t we known for getting money for bridges and build nothing at all? There you go…
Unfortunately he has other blind spots. Those who know him say he is a man who craves the security of tradition and therefore can’t be easily persuaded. He’s always like a loaded duelling pistol with a hair-trigger temper. This one isn’t difficult to prove. The available videos through YouTube can serve the day. He could have easily played the role of an English tank commander in a war film.
From the same videos clips one thing that is well defined. Magufuli is a confident man. He is one of those confident people who believe that, no matter what happens, he always knew it would. Of course he doesn’t have political talent, natural charm and the gift of persuasion like the man whose job he want to inherit. However, the faith in his own influence and ability, can take him places. Confidence is a good appeal for someone who wants to be a Commander-In-Chief of a country engulfed with bribes, corruption and irresponsibility like. Tanzania fits the bill. All in all, he is an intense humourless individual. Hacheki sana na Kima!
Finally, you can tell a lot from a man’s CV. It’s different from a résumé where a lot of details are left out. I found this one from Ministry Of Works website. It can help to paint a better picture of Dr.John Pombe Magufuli. You can see why he could be waiting in the wings after October 25th, 2015.
