Nebraska Cornhuskers Head Coach Mike Riley announced captains for the 2016 season tonight. The Huskers, who voted on team captains chose Jordan Westerkamp and Dylan Utter from the offense and Josh Banderas and Nate Gerry from the defense to serve as captains. Riley also announced that the seniors have asked for an honorary Sam Foltz captain of the week. Tommy Armstrong was not named a captain this year, which is sure to create a bit of a firestorm. Riley pointed out the Tommy Frazier and Scott Frost as quarterbacks who won championships without being a captain.
