Kenya Airways' Return Direct Flight from New York Lands Safely at JKIA

Kenya Airways' return direct flight from New York has landed safely at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi.
The Boeing B787-8 Dreamliner (5Y-KZE) K003 carrying 234 passengers arrived in Nairobi at around 9:30 am on Tuesday, slightly above 13 hours since it left New York's JFK International Airport on Monday.
The long-haul flight was expected to touch the ground at JKIA at between 10:30am and 11am but landed earlier than scheduled. On arrival at the Nairobi airport, the flight also received a water salute.
It was received by Deputy President President William Ruto and other top government officials. Ruto has challenged Kenya Airways to improve its customer services.
"It would be an exercise in futility for the country to celebrate such a milestone only to be crippled by poor customer relations," Ruto says.
"Good customer service is the heart of every successful organisation. I want to appeal to Kenya Airways to up their game when it comes to this."
"Let our guests and your clients feel proud of your services. Even Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) must take this advantage and offer an exceptional welcome to our visitors."
