Kenyan Police Place Sh3 Million Bounty on Italian Woman's Abductors


Police have announced a Sh3 million cash reward to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of three suspects linked to the abduction of a 23-year-old Italian volunteer.
Silvia Costanza Romano, an aid worker at Milele Africa - an NGO based in Kilifi County was kidnapped from a guesthouse in Chakama on Tuesday by gunmen who attacked the village.
Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet says the three suspects identified as Ibrahim Adan Omar, Yusuf Kuno Adan, and Said Adan Abdi are believed to the the ones behind the shooting and abduction.
He describes the three as armed and dangerous. 
Boinnet has also revealed that two motorbikes suspected to have been used during the attack have been nabbed and their owners identified.
"We have also established that the two motorbikes that were found by our officers tracking the suspects are suspected to have been used as the gateway conveyance," Boinnet says in a statement.
"The motorcycles were sold to one Moses Suleiman Mbogo of ID No. 21524176, and one Joseph Bakuna Kazungu of ID No. 21498255."
Mbogo and Kazungu have been ordered to report to the nearest police station for questioning.
No militia has claimed the attack that left five locals including a 10-year-old boy injured. 20 people have since been arrested in connection with the incident.
