Neno Evangelism Pastor James Ng'ang'a Involved in Road Crash

Pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism escaped unscathed after his two-week-old luxury car was involved in a road accident on Wednesday last week.
Ng’ang’a, who was behind the wheel at the time, crashed into a lorry along Nairobi-Namanga highway, according to The Standard. Rift Valley Police Commander Mercus Ocholla said the controversial televangelist was not hurt and the vehicle was towed to a nearby police station.
“Mr Ng’ang’a was involved in an accident which left his car damaged on the highway. He later reported the matter to the police,” said Ocholla, adding that police are investigating the incident.
A video (https://youtu.be/WwogmUoQ810) dated November 15th showed Ng’ang’a praising God for gifting the brand new Lexus LX 570 model, which he described as his dream car.
In 2015, Pastor Ng’ang’a was arraigned and charged with hitting and killing a woman with his car along Nairobi-Naivasha highway. The charge sheet read that; on July 26th, 2015, at about 5.45 pm along Naivasha-Nairobi road at Manguo area in Limuru, he caused the death of Mercy Njeri through dangerous driving.
He was also accused of failing to report the accident and giving false information to a police officer. Ng’ang’a, who denied all the charges, further faced another count of conspiring to defeat justice.
Last year, Nakuru Chief Magistrate Godfrey Oduor acquitted Ng’ang’a on grounds that the prosecution failed to prove its case against the accused. Director of Public Prosecution challenged the ruling and was allowed to appeal. The appeal is pending in court.
