USCIS Closes All Field Offices to the Public Nationwide, Suspends Green Card and Naturalization Interviews Effective March 18th

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on Tuesday announced that all USCIS field offices nationwide as well as Application Support Centers (ASCs) will be closed to the public starting Wednesday, March 18th until at least April 1st, 2020 due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Effective March 18, all-in person services at the field offices including green card interviews, asylum interviews, naturalization interviews and  naturalization ceremonies will be suspended.
USCIS says those who had been scheduled for asylum interviews, green card interviews, naturalization interviews, and naturalization ceremonies will be sent cancellation notices and the appointments will be automatically rescheduled and new interview notices mailed once the field offices re-open.
USCIS will also automatically re-schedule Application Support Centers (ASCs) appointments (Biometric services) once the ASCs re-open, and will send new appointment notices through the mail.
Those who had upcoming InfoPass or other appointments must reschedule through the USCIS Contact Center once the field office open.
USCIS added that operations and services that do not require in-person contact with the public will continue.
