Cable News Network (CNN) anchor Richard Quest has began his tour to Kenya. Quest arrived in the country on Monday and visited Nairobi's Karura Forest for a morning run in the company of celebrated Kenyan athlete Eliud Kipchoge.
Later, the New York-based journalist interviewed Kipchoge who last month shuttered the world record in the Berlin Marathon after clocking 2 hours, 01 minute and 39 seconds.
This is the first time the CNN Business Traveller show host is visiting Kenya and East Africa. He has in the past visited other African countries including Nigeria.
“I have never been to Nairobi, or even Kenya. As someone who travels almost constantly, this is a serious omission on my part. It is certainly not by design,” he writes in the Daily Nation.
In July, Quest launched a new show on CNN dubbed, World of Wonder.
His show, Quest Means Business will go live from Nairobi later this week as he prepares to join passengers, including President Kenyatta on the historic Kenya Airways' inaugural direct flight to the United States on October 28th.
President Kenyatta will flag off the 234-passenger capacity KQ Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
