'Church Member Offered Me Sh3 Million to Marry Her': Pastor James Ng'ang'a, Wife Speak About Their Marriage Life [VIDEO]

Controversial pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism Centre and his wife, Mercy Murugi have shared details of their marriage life.
The couple, who tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony held at Windsor Gold Club in Nairobi in 2012, talked about their union in a video uploaded recently on YouTube. Ng’ang’a married Mercy following the demise of his first wife.
In the video, Apostle Ng’ang’a revealed how his wife fled their matrimonial home on several occasions and how female members of his church pressured him to marry them.
He noted that his wife was unhappy due to the many romantic messages he was receiving on his phone from other women.
“There is a day I came and found out that she had packed all her clothes and ran away from home. My phone usually created more issues between us. I remember one day in Naivasha, a text message reading ‘Thank you for the good night we had yesterday’.”
“I gave her and asked her to read it as it was a false accusation. If she had seen it, later on, the situation would have escalated,” Ng’ang’a noted.
At some point, Ng’ang’a said, he was forced to remove all security codes from his phone and confront these women in presence of his wife.
“I was not a saint because I was married before meeting her. I expected her to come and fill the shoes of my late wife. Every time she ran away with my BMW, I followed her to their home with the police and repossessed it. However, I prayed over it and she came back and settled,” Ng’anga recalled.
On her part, Ng’ang’a’s wife said she first thought that marriage was a bed of roses but she was wrong.
“I have learned through experience. His phone was giving me a lot of headaches because I always wanted to know who was calling him but I stopped fussing. That is how I defeated Satan,” she stated.
Pastor Ng’ang’a explained that women in his church would go as far as bribing ushers to get front-row seats during the service in order to ‘tempt’ him into marrying them.
He claimed that 1,000 women in his church were seeking to marry him and one had even offered him Sh3 million for him to be her husband. This was before he married Mercy, a university graduate, and daughter to one of his congregants.
“There were thousands of women who wanted me to marry them. Others were politicians, while some were bishops. A woman even offered me Sh3 million to marry her. They tried duping me by posing the money as offerings.”
“Ushers and women in the church left after I married her as they decided to walk away. They even tried to fight her and even used witchcraft, while questioning why I married a younger wife. I think it would have been unwise to marry my age mate because at some point we would have aged and failed to take care of each other,” Ng’ang’a disclosed.

US Donates 10 Pickup Trucks to Kenya's DCI and EACC to Combat corruption and Drug Trafficking

The United States has donated 10 vehicles to Kenya’s investigating agencies to help boost their efforts in combating corruption and drug trafficking.
The 10 Toyota Hilux pickups were handed over to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) by US Ambassador to Kenya Kyle McCarter on Friday.
The brand new vehicles were donated by the US Department of Defense in collaboration with the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and US Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
“The important work of the DCI and EACC in rooting out corruption and holding corrupt individuals accountable is critical to a strong democracy,” said Amb. McCarter.
He added: "During difficult times, neither law enforcement officers nor true friends shrink from their commitments, and the United States will continue to stand with Kenya.”
He further noted that the donation underscores the US commitment to partnering with Kenya in the war against corruption, drug trafficking, and other transnational crimes.
“The United States is committed to working with its Kenyan law enforcement partners to help preserve and strengthen the rule of law in Kenya,” said McCarter.

Remittances by Kenyans in theDiaspora Drop to Sh22.3 Billionin April

Remittances by Kenyans in the Diaspora Drop to Sh22.3 Billion in April

Kenyans living and working abroad sent home $208.2 million (Sh22.3 billion) in April 2020, the latest data from the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) shows.
This translates to a nine percent drop (Sh2.2 billion) compared to Sh24.5 billion remitted in the previous month (March) attributed to the global Covid-19 outbreak.
The amount was the lowest monthly remittance from Kenyans in the diaspora since February 2019 when the inflows stood at $199 million (Sh21.2 billion).
CBK in its latest weekly bulletin said remittances from Kenyans in Canada and the United States (North America) remained unchanged during the period under review. The region accounted for 58 percent of the total inflows in April.
“Remittance flows from the US and Canada remained largely unchanged from March, while inflows from UK, Germany, South Africa, EAC region, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia declined, reflecting the impact of Covid-19,” CBK noted.
CBK expects diaspora remittances to slump in the coming months due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the global economy. The pandemic has seen many Africans working abroad laid off or sent on unpaid leave and are now surviving on their savings.
Remittances from the diaspora have remained Kenya’s leading source of foreign exchange since 2015, ahead of earnings from tourism, tea, coffee and horticulture exports. In Africa, Kenya is the fourth-largest recipient of diaspora remittances behind Egypt, Nigeria, and Ghana.
Last year, Kenyans abroad sent home $2.7 billion (Sh280 billion), a new annual record, according to CBK. This represented a 3.7 percent growth from the previous year when diaspora remittances stood at $2.6 billion (Sh272.3 billion).
The World Bank projects a global decline in remittances by about 20 percent citing the economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
This would be the biggest fall in recent history largely due to a decline in the wages and employment of migrant workers, who are more vulnerable to loss of employment during an economic crisis, the World Bank said.

Kenyan Man Dies in a Car Crash After Stabbing Wife in Richmond, Virginia

A Kenyan man died after his car crashed and caught fire in Richmond, Virginia on Wednesday. The man identified as Wa Martin was fleeing his home in Richmond after he stabbed and badly wounded his wife following a confrontation, according to reports.
Henrico police went to the 2300 block of Fon Du Lac Road at around 8 am Wednesday following a report of a victim with traumatic injuries, NBC12 reports.
The victim, a woman whose identity was not revealed, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
An hour later, officers were called to the Exit 177 ramp on I-64 West for a report of a vehicle on fire in the woods. The burning car was found in a wooded ditch, with Henrico firefighters using foam to extinguish the fire.
It is claimed the car was being driven at a high rate of speed when it veered off the highway and landed in a ditch before catching fire.
Police said the driver of the car was the suspect in a domestic incident where a woman was found with trauma. The man later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigations into the two incidents commenced immediately, police said.

US Donates 40,000 Facemasks to Kenyan Border Police

The US has donated 40,000 facemasks to Kenya’s Border Police Unit (BPU) to help its members protect themselves from the coronavirus disease.
The protective masks donated through funding by the Department of State’s Anti-Terrorism Assistance Programme were handed over to Deputy Inspector-General of Police Noor Gabow by US Ambassador to Kenya Kyle McCarter on Friday, May 22nd.
Ambassador McCarter said Kenyan borders cannot remain safe if officers manning them are at risk of contracting Covid-19.
“The Covid-19 crisis reminds us all of the importance of establishing and maintaining secure borders. The Border Police Unit has been a valuable and enthusiastic partner of the United States, and we are proud to support them in their critical role of securing Kenya’s borders,” he said.
“We hope these facemasks will help the BPU strengthen the bonds they have formed with the people they protect and serve while supporting the health of Kenyans living in border areas.”
On his part, Deputy IG Gabow said: “The United States has been a valuable partner of Kenya and a firm supporter of the BPU in the fight against terrorism. Now that we face another common enemy in the coronavirus, we welcome the support of our friend and partner in helping us protect and serve the Kenyan people.”
As of Friday, May 22nd, there were 1,161 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Kenya, out of which 380 have recovered while 50 have lost their lives.
